BlankOn incompatibility?

This morning I was accessing this blog with Opera 10 on BlankOn Nanggar. Everything went fine till about noon when suddenly my blog displayed only as text. No image, no CSS whatsoever (save for the Facebook badge, which rendered fine). And to make matters worse, I couldn’t even access the admin page.

It’s quite strange, as the blog is accessible using Firefox on Windows XP (else there’s no way I could write this post). Wondered what went wrong…

Importing my blogs to Facebook Notes

I have several blog, each got their own RSS feeder. I want to import all of my blog posts to Facebook Notes, but Notes only allowed one feeds import. I was tempted to create my own blog planet, in hope that I could aggregate all my blogs there, then imported it to Facebook.

Luckily, there’s a better solution.

I usually read other people’s blogs from Google Reader. It also has subscriptions to my blogs, neatly organized into “My blog” folder. By changing the Reader setting so that “My blog” folder got it’s Public page, I can acquire the Atom feed of “My blog” public page, which in turn imported to Facebook notes. Therefore, there’s no need for me to create a blog planet to aggregate my blogs (though I still have decent space on my hostings to create one).

Quite handy, that Google Reader, no? :)

Postingan perdana

It’s been more than a year since I started blogging at WordPress.com. IMO, WordPress was (and still) magnificent, more so than Blogspot, but I still not satisfied. I’d like to have full control over my blog, so it was natural that I planned to get my own domain.

Severla days ago I decided to actually apply for my own domain. I registered ordinarylad.com at Qwords and also hosting plan from them. There’s initially some problem, as I couldn’t submit the account form. Something to do with “?” mark on fill-out box, I suspect. Anyway, I finally made my account.

Today I transferred the fee to Qwords bank account, confirm it afterwards and checked back my account an hour later. Lo and behold, my domain and hosting was up and ready.

So here it is, my blog at my own domain. Yatta :D
