Installing Firefox Aurora binary
I rarely use Firefox these days. I usually use Chrome, Lynx or Opera for web browsing. I think it’s because the latest Firefox version on BlankOn repository is 3.6 (or is it 3.5?). It’s still quite a good one, but I didn’t have any reason to use it while I got other browsers on their latest version at my disposal.
A couple days before, I decided to try Firefox again. But which one? I decided to get Aurora build. I’d like to get the nightly build but I guess it’s a bit overboard. Read more
Screenshot, screenshot!
On Windows box, I usually grab web pages screenshot using Fireshot add-on for Firefox. It got rich features, including built-in editor, annotation insertion, printing and e-mail integration. Too bad it’s not available for Linux.
Anyway, there’s still plenty of screenshot add-on available for Linux. Currently I’m using Screengrab. It simply saves webpages as images or copy them into clipboard. It can grab complete page, visible portion or just a selection. It also integrated to Firefox context menu.
Well, it’s not as sophisticated as Fireshot, but it’s good enough for my need

BlankOn incompatibility?
This morning I was accessing this blog with Opera 10 on BlankOn Nanggar. Everything went fine till about noon when suddenly my blog displayed only as text. No image, no CSS whatsoever (save for the Facebook badge, which rendered fine). And to make matters worse, I couldn’t even access the admin page.
It’s quite strange, as the blog is accessible using Firefox on Windows XP (else there’s no way I could write this post). Wondered what went wrong…
